子ども達の日本ツアーから早くも2カ月が過ぎました。

今、スタジオの子ども達の話題といえばもっぱら

『次のUUUは何人来るの！？』

ということでしょうか(笑)

※UUUとは？→フィリピンセブ島の貧困層の子ども達に本物のオーケストラを届けるボランティアツアー

 

📌子ども達と音楽の楽しさを共有したい

４年前はドレミをUUUメンバーから教えてもらっていた子ども達。

UUUに負けないような、パワフルなコンサートを日本で立派に開催した今となっても

やっぱり日本から来る若い音楽家たちと一緒に演奏できることは

たまらなく楽しみにしているようです✨

 

💡楽器経験がある

💡子どもが好き

💡音楽を通して人の役に立ちたい

💡何より自分が心から音楽を楽しみたい・楽しさを共有したい

📌1年前を振り返って

4月末、無事1週間のコンサートツアーを終えた子ども達ですが

実はこのちょうど1年前、下見としてセブンスピリットのスタッフ4人が来日していました。

その時、スタッフそれぞれが

『セブンスピリットでの教育の意義』

そして

『フィリピンの子ども達の来日』という、無謀にも思える大イベントへの想い

をつづっていました。

来日ツアーを終え、2カ月がたった今、その想いをひとつづつ振り返ってみようと思います。

 

📌ソーシャルワーカー『ドロシー』からのメッセージ

Good day ladies and gentlemen,I am Dorothy Fortuna, Social Worker, representing NPO Seven Spirit Inc. It is is Japanese organization operating in Cebu, Philippines.
みなさんこんにちは、ドロシーフォーチュナと申します。

フィリピンセブに拠点となる教室を持っている、日本のNPO法人

セブンスピリットにて、社会福祉士として活動をしております。

 

Opportunity is as define by Merriam Webster as an amount of time and situation where is something can be done. In present situation of the Philippines there are a lot of social issues can be found especially regarding children’s welfare in marginalized sectors such are crimes, violence, and drugs. It is very rampant that even a child as early as 6 years old is already using drugs. Children in depressed areas are prone to all bad influences that can lead them to be unproductive citizen in the society if not handled well. These children have full potentials that needed to be unleashed however they don’t have an avenue where they can discover what they have within in them.

機会(opportunity) 、とう言葉を、辞書で引いてみると

何かを成し遂げ得る場面やチャンスの数 という説明があります。

今日のフィリピンでは未だ多くの社会問題が山積しています。

例えば犯罪、暴力、薬物。こういった問題は子供達にとっても身近な問題で

まだ6歳にも満たない子供が既に薬物に手を出している、そんな現実がフィリピンでは蔓延しています。

貧困地区の子供たちは、もし薬物のように、一度使い方を誤ると、簡単に道を踏み外してしまう。

そんなきっかけに溢れた環境で暮らしています。

こういった子供たちは、本当は素晴らしい素質に溢れているのにも関わらず

自分の中に隠れてる潜在能力に気がつく事が出来ていません。

 

 

In this manner NPO Seven Spirit came into the idea of giving these children an opportunity. The opportunity they made is; they created a program which will give children a chance to discover their potentials. The program they give are free music and sports education. These programs are designed to fit children where they can play physically as children as they are, play instruments once they are in music class, and sports, and play a role since they are in a group and eventually these will help them how to play role in the society as they grow.
The purpose purpose is not only to develop their potentials and talents once discovered but also to help them improve their personal and social development where their Life Skills are enhance. Life skills are abilities for adaptive and positive behavior that enable individuals to deal and cope effectively with the demands and challenges of everyday life or in other words the pscyhocosocial competency.

こういった状況のもとで、NPO法人セブンスピリットは 子ども達にチャンスを提供する

というアイディアを生み出しました。

そのアイディアとは、無料で音楽とスポーツ教育を子供達へ提供し

子供たちの潜在能力を引き出すプログラムです。

セブンスピリットは子ども達が子どもらしく遊べる場を提供し

音楽やスポーツの授業を通して自分の役割責任を果たすという経験をさせますが

このような経験は将来社会という組織の中で生きていくスキルを身につける勉強になるのです。

プログラムの目的は、子ども達の才能や潜在能力を開花させる事だけでなく、人としての成長

また社会組織の中に適応していく能力、すなわちライフスキルを身につける事も目的の一つです。

ライフスキルとは

“日常の様々な問題や要求に対し、より建設的かつ効果的に対処するために必要な能力“の事です。

 

 

In NPO Seven children experiences many things. Children are exposed to different individuals especially with Japanese volunteers, Japanese teachers, and guests. Their interaction with these people will help them how to be with people and it will let them see how others are which can lead them to have vision what they want to be in the future. It helped open their mind of other things. The experiences of these children joining the program will be good for them since they are having fun while they are learning. They meet new friends and their bond will help their collaboration with other players in the orchestra. They are also in a safer and healthier environment rather than being on the street.

セブンスピリットの教室で、子ども達は多くのことを経験します。

日本人ボランティア、日本人の先生、日本から来たゲスト等、沢山の”自分とは異なった存在“に出会います。

こういった人との触れ合いを通して、子供たちは人との関わり方を学び

また、将来どうなりたいかというビジョンを自分で考えるようになります。

多くの人と出会い、視野が広がるのです。

子ども達がこのプログラムに参加し、楽しみながら何かを学べるという事は、とても良いことですよね。

子ども達は新しい友達と出会い、オーケストラの中で一緒に演奏することで、その絆はどんどん深まります。

なにより、セブンスピリットの教室へ来ることで

路上にいるよりもずっと安全で健全な環境にいることができるのです。

 

 

Through Music and Sports children learn to discover many things. They are able to deal with others in positive ways. They engage themselves in positive manners and are away from the streets where they used to be. They become more active in participating and they learn to speak out their minds.

音楽やスポーツの通して、子ども達は色んなことを学びます。

対人関係をうまく築くことができるようになります。

子ども達は自分自身を上手くコントロールすることを学び

かつての居場所であった路上に戻る事は無くなります。

子ども達は自発的に積極的に行動するようになり、自分の考えや想いを発言することを学びます。

 

 

Since the organization started the greatest and biggest achievement children have so far as is that these kids learn to have a DREAMS. They have big dreams now; they found new ideas.

この団体が設立されて以来、これまで子供達が成し遂げた1番の大きな功績は

彼らが”夢を持つ”ということを学んだことでしょう。

彼らはいま大きな夢を持ち、それを叶えるためのアイディアを見つけ始めています。

 

 

NPO Seven Spirit is a very unique organization, I, myself as a Social Work practitioner find it a very interesting. In a third world country like mine; the Philippines, there are many poor people; these people are used to ask or given support by different organizations. It makes people become dependent and demanding at times. In our organization; children come even if we don’t give them anything. They come because they like it, they come because they are enjoying, they come because are happy and they are learning most all. Children also learn what hard work is and as well as achieving goals. They work hard by practicing their piece every time they have new song; they work hard to be able to play and be in harmony with others. Once they play it well they are overjoyed for they achieved their goals; this goal just a beginners goal and as they grow up they know how do it.

セブンスピリットはとてもユニークな団体です。

私は一社会福祉士として、とても面白いなと感じています。

フィリピンのような第三世界（発展途上国）では、一般的に貧しい市民が多く

人々は色々な団体からの援助を享受する事に慣れてしまい、次第にそういった援助に依存してしまう。

といった事を耳にしたことがある方もいると思います。

でも、セブンスピリットは違います。たとえ我々は子ども達に何も与えなくとも

子供たちは自らスタジオにやってきます。なぜ子ども達はスタジオに集まるのか？

　　それはセブンスピリットが好きだから

　　そこが楽しい場だと知っているから

　　そこに居るだけで幸せだから

　　そして、そこで多くを学べるから。

子ども達は目標を達成するには、努力が必要であることを学びます。

新しい曲を貰う度に、子ども達は仲間と共に良い音楽を奏でる為、一生懸命に練習します。

一度上手く演奏出来る様になると、子ども達は目標を達成する喜びを手に入れます。

 

 

What help this children need is ; given the chance, a chance to learn, a chance to grow, a chance to be heard, a chance to be in a safe environment, and a chance to continue to dream, and a chance to be happy while playing and learning.

子ども達を助ける為に必要な事。それはきっかけやチャンスを与えることではないでしょうか？

学ぶ事、成長する事、話を誰かに聞いてもらう事、安全な環境で生きる事、夢を追い求める事、幸せでいる事。

学びながら楽しみながら、そういったきっかけやチャンスを与える事。

それこそが子ども達に必要なことなのだと私は思います。
